How Our Tents Work for Tennis Courts and Pickleball

Our tents are a great addition to any tennis court setup — not ideal for covering active play, but for supporting everything that happens around it.

According to the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the recommended ceiling height for tournament-level indoor tennis courts is 40 feet, with recreational play typically requiring at least 29.5 feet of clearance. Because our tents do not reach these heights, they are not suitable for covering official tennis play. However, they’re perfect for off-court use: think hydration stations, merchandise booths, coach’s areas, or shaded spectator seating.

For pickleball, the space requirements are more flexible. The USA Pickleball (USAP) guidelines suggest a minimum ceiling height of 18 to 20 feet for general play, with up to 39 feet for major tournaments. This makes some of our frame tents a more viable option for casual pickleball play or covered practice areas, depending on your needs.

6 Tennis Court Tent Types to Consider for Your Training Facilities

When the sun is blazing or unexpected rain rolls in, a single tennis court tent can make all the difference. Our tents offer much-needed shade and shelter, giving players, coaches, and tennis lovers a comfortable place to cool down, regroup, or wait out weather delays. Don’t let Mother Nature interfere with your schedule — the right courtside tent will have you well equipped to keep your event running smoothly.

Here are various types of product solutions to consider based on your setup and specific needs:

  • Pop-Up Tents: Great for quick, temporary shade during lessons, matches, or trade shows. Easy to transport and set up, these are ideal for check-in stations, hydration spots, or even first aid areas.
  • High Peak Tents: Eye-catching and practical for weekend events, high peak tents are perfect for merchandise booths or concession stands. Their elevated center and open layout make them easy to navigate, while the stylish roof draws attention to any courtside setup.
  • Pole Tents: Require staking and a popular choice for grassy areas in parks or at community courts. These tents provide spacious shaded areas for large groups, making them great for tournaments, camps, or outreach events.
  • Frame Tents: Designed for hard surfaces like tennis courts. With a pole-free interior and the option to use a tent ballasting system (no staking required), these are perfect for creating shaded seating or lounge areas for spectators and athletes alike.
  • Keder Tents: The best choice for long-term installations. The track system allows the tent top to be easily removed and protected in case of extreme weather — all without dismantling the frame. Ideal for clubs or facilities hosting frequent events.
  • Custom Tents: Add a professional touch with your team’s logo, school colors, or sponsor branding. Customized tents elevate your courtside presence and help your setup stand out at any event.

No matter your tennis court layout or event size, there’s a tennis tent option designed to keep your players cool, your guests comfortable, and your event on track.

Invest in Quality Tents that Support your Tennis Events.

If you're investing in a tent for your tennis court, don’t settle for something that just looks good on paper. Two white tents might seem the same at first glance — but the difference is in the details. And those details matter when it comes to performance, durability, and safety.

Our tents are built with 16 oz blockout vinyl at 1000 denier — the strongest rating available. That’s the kind of fabric that stands up to serious use, event after event. Most tents use fabric rated anywhere from 250–1000D. With us, you’re getting the top tier.

We proudly use American-made, ISO-certified durable materials, meeting strict quality and flame retardant standards. The UV-resistant fabric lasts over 7 years, compared to the 2–3 years you might get from cheaper imported alternatives. It’s also waterproof, so guests and gear stay dry no matter what the weather brings.

For extra strength, our double tube poles on large frame tents are designed to handle wind like a champ — because tennis doesn’t stop when the weather turns.

And when it comes to finishing touches, we’ve got everything you need:

We make setup simple with step-by-step guides, how-to videos, and product recommendations for lighting, flooring, air conditioning and more. Whether you’re getting ready for a championship weekend or just upgrading your courtside experience, we’re here to help.
