This Privacy Policy describes how American Tent (“American Tent,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, retains, shares, and protects your personal information when you (1) visit or make a purchase from americantent.com (the “Site”); (2) communicate with us on the Site via email, chat, and other electronic messages; (3) create a customer account on our Site; and (4) otherwise interact with us online or offline, including by telephone.

American Tent is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies or practices of any third parties, third-party websites or third-party apps. Personal information we collect
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, the term “personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular person or household.
Information You Give Us Directly. When you make a purchase, attempt to make a purchase, or create an account through the Site, our trusted third-party providers collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, which are not saved or used outside of Shopify!), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

Cookies and Similar Online Tracking Technologies
We and our third-party partners and service providers (such as Shopify, advertising networks, analytics providers and social media platforms and networks) use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and other similar online tracking technologies to gather information when you interact with our Site and email communications. Some online tracking technologies help us maintain the security of our Site and your account, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save your preferences, and assist with basic site functions.
American Tent uses Google Analytics to collect anonymized data points about how visitors use our Site, including the number of visitors to the Site, from where visitors navigated to get to our Site, and the webpages. Sharing your personal Information
We share your Personal Information with a limited number of service providers that perform services to support our core business functions and internal operations including: fulfilling orders, complying with your request for shipment and delivery of orders, sending post mail, emails, and text messages, analyzing customer data, providing marketing assistance, supporting beacons, processing credit card and debit card payments, investigating fraudulent activity, and providing customer service.

We may also disclose personal information internally within American Tent. Our personnel may have access to personal information as needed to provide our services and operate the Site in the normal course of business.
If we purchase other businesses or their assets, sell our business assets, or are involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information, including any category of personal data collected by American Tent, may be among assets sold or transferred and may be subsequently used by a third party.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, to prevent fraud or illegal activity, protect the safety of any person, or to otherwise protect our rights and interests. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
International data transfers
American Tent does not target customers outside of the United States. However, if you are located outside the United States, the information American Tent gathers about you may be transferred, processed, maintained, and accessed outside of your home jurisdiction or in a jurisdiction with different, and less protective, privacy laws. If you are in the EEA or other region with laws that may differ from the United States and choose to allow us to collect information about you, note that American Tent (and/or our service providers) may transfer, process, and store that information in the United States and/or Canada.
Data retention and security
We generally retain the information we collect only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations, or as otherwise required by law. When you place an order through the Site, we may either retain your information and content for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival and audit purposes, or we may delete your personal information from our systems as part of a data retention plan and cyber-hygiene policies.
