6-way crown connectors are used in rectangular West-Coast frame tents from 20 ft wide to 40 ft wide. The 6-way tent frame fitting connects to the main legs of the tent, as well as to the middle pole (which connects both of the 6-way crowns). These fittings, along with the middle pole, are used to enhance stability and create the tent top shape.
